The St. Margaret of Scotland Sunday School program provides religious instruction to the children of the parish and prepares them for the reception of the Sacraments of Penance, Eucharist, and Confirmation.
This is done primarily through weekly catechetical instruction, and special activities. In this way, we supplement the efforts of parents to fulfill the promises made at their children’s baptism to lead their children closer to Christ by deeping their knowledge of the Catholic faith and their experience of a loving God.
Our program includes:
• A standards based curriculum
• Textbooks & on-line materials
• Preparation for baptism, first penance, first communion & confirmation
• Clear expectations for students and their family
• Many opportunities to reinforce the lessons at home; and
• Useful accountability measures.
